Arnold & Porter’s Chambers/Legal 500 Band 1 (market leading) Government Contracts & National Security team has a broad mix of litigation, investigation, export control, cybersecurity, mergers and acquisition, and counseling work. Some examples of the group’s recent work include: litigating a contract award challenge for SpaceX related to the National Security Space Launch program; and handling the legal aspects of the substantial Sanofi, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca COVID vaccine agreements with the United States. The work is exciting, often quite relevant to ongoing world issues, and fast paced. Due to the nature of the work and composition of the group, associates receive significant opportunities for responsibility at a very junior level.

The Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group is made up of 140+ attorneys who advise clients along the life cycle of their most important assets—spanning patents, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, trade secrets, and related issues. Our Patent Litigation team combines proven trial and appellate experience, strategic approaches, and technological knowledge to enforce and defend our clients' patent rights, particularly in the life sciences and technology industries. Attorneys work on matters for clients such as Adobe, Boston Scientific Corporation, Charter, Crocs, Google, Motorola, Nike, Novartis, Pfizer, and Samsung.

Qualified applicants for these positions must have a minimum of two years of prior work experience in patent litigation in district court and/or ITC proceedings; strong research, writing and analytic skills; an ability to work independently and creatively; as well as an ability to work successfully as part of a team.
